Posting

πŸ“€ Posting is how you get discovered β€” and paid. Three kinds of posts, three ways to earn. Let's make every one work for you.

What it is

Posting is how you publish content on Hidden. Every post lives on your profile, and you choose how it earns. When you create a post, you pick one of three post types β€” each shows up in a different place and makes money a different way.

The three post types

TypeWho sees itHow it earnsWhere it lives
🌍 DiscoveryEveryone - Discovery feed, Explore page, your profile's Public tabFree reach, or locked behind a one-off pricePublic tab
πŸ’– Subscription FeedYour subscribers (plus Discovery, if you promote it)Grows your subscriptionsFeed tab
πŸ›οΈ StoreEveryone - Discovery feed, Explore page, your profile's Store tabOne-off purchases, with separate subscriber / non-subscriber pricingStore tab

🌍 Discovery

Discovery posts promote your content and profile across Hidden. They appear in the Discovery feed and Explore page β€” like how posts get surfaced on Instagram or TikTok β€” and on your profile's Public tab. They come two ways:

  • Free β€” no paywall, free for anyone to view. Pure reach.
  • Locked β€” you set the price. Anyone can see the cover for free, but they pay to unlock the rest. Fans can buy it right from the feed, explore page, or from your profile.

πŸ’– Subscription Feed

Subscription Feed posts are visible only to fans who've subscribed to you, and they live on your profile's Feed tab.

Want more reach? Turn on "Promote post on discovery feed" and your post appears in Discovery with everything except the cover locked behind your subscription price β€” so new fans can subscribe and unlock it right from the discovery feed.

πŸ›οΈ Store

Store posts let your fans buy your most popular content without you sending it manually. Anyone can purchase from your profile's Store tab at any time.

Best part: you can set two prices β€” one for your loyal Subscribers and another for Non-Subscribers.

Getting started

1. Add your content & details

  • Pick media from your Vault or upload something new from your device
  • Write your caption
  • Add categories and tags so the right fans find you
  • Tag other creators if it's a collab (see the consent note below)

2. Start a new post

Tap to create a new post, then choose your post type β€” Discovery, Subscription Feed, or Store.

3. Set pricing & visibility

  • Discovery β€” free, or locked with a price you choose
  • Subscription Feed β€” subscriber-only (optionally promoted to Discovery)
  • Store β€” set a Subscriber price and a Non-Subscriber price

4. Publish or schedule

Publish now, or schedule it for a future date and time. Every post runs through a quick moderation check before it goes live. You’ll know your post is going through moderation whenever there’s a crossed out eye icon over your post when seeing it from your profile. Users can’t see a post until it passes moderation.

Scheduling & editing posts

Planning ahead? Schedule a post for later, then manage it any time from your scheduling calendar. Tap the three dots on a scheduled post for three options:

  • Edit Post β€” opens the New Post screen with everything pre-filled (media, caption, tagged creators, categories, tags, schedule, post type, and pricing). Change anything you like, then tap Post to save. It keeps its place in the queue unless you change the date or time.
  • Publish Now β€” skips the schedule and goes live immediately (it then drops off your calendar).
  • Delete Post β€” removes it from the queue after a quick confirmation. Any media stays safe in your Vault.

Moderation: what to expect

Every post goes through a quick moderation check before it's visible. A few rules worth knowing:

  • Editing a scheduled post? Only new or changed media and captions get re-checked β€” anything you didn't touch keeps its approval.
  • If an edited post hasn't cleared moderation by its scheduled time, it stays hidden β€” even past that time β€” until it's approved, then it appears instantly. If it's rejected, it stays unpublished.

Tagging other creators (collabs)

  • Tagging a creator who's already on Hidden? No extra steps β€” standard moderation applies.
  • Tagging someone not yet on Hidden? Your post stays hidden everywhere β€” profile, Discovery, all of it β€” until that person completes a consent form. Tag more than one new person and all of them must consent before it goes live.

β˜… Tips & Tricks

β˜… Use all three types together: Discovery for reach, Subscription Feed to grow subs, Store for 24/7 sales.

β˜… Your cover is everything on a locked post β€” it's the only part fans see before they pay, so make it irresistible.

β˜… Promote your best Subscription Feed posts to Discovery to turn scrollers into subscribers.

β˜… Tag accurately with categories and tags β€” it's how new fans find you on Discovery.

β˜… Schedule ahead so moderation clears well before go-live.
