Why is impersonation prohibited?

Content Guidelines

At Hidden, we're dedicated to a safe, trustworthy, and responsible community for everyone. We don't allow impersonation, as it misleads, deceives, and can cause harm. To prevent it, we require Creators to submit a consent form along with proof of identity and age, so all content is legitimate, consensual, and created responsibly.

Why we don't allow it

  • Protecting users: impersonation can lead to confusion, misinformation, and exploitation, which harms individuals and the community.
  • Preventing fraud and misinformation: misleading representations can spread false information or lead to scams.
  • Legal and ethical responsibility: impersonation violates laws and ethical standards, and our policy keeps us compliant.
  • Maintaining trust: a platform built on authenticity keeps the space safe and engaging.

Examples of prohibited content

  • Creating an account or profile that falsely claims to be someone else, whether a public figure or another user.
  • Using someone else's name, photos, or personal details to deceive or mislead others.
  • Posting content that falsely represents another person's identity or actions.
  • Pretending to be a company representative or authority figure to engage in fraud.

What to do next

  • Review your content to make sure your profile, posts, and interactions don't misrepresent yourself or others.
  • Edit and resubmit to correct any misleading elements if your content was flagged.
  • Learn the guidelines in our Content Guidelines and Terms of Service.
  • Report impersonation at support@hidden.com if you believe someone is impersonating you or another user.
